event4all is a platform for live polls, word clouds, quizzes, and Q&A sessions at events. Participants join via a shortcode or QR code, without an account and without an app. This statement describes what data is collected and how it is handled.
Upon joining, a pseudonymous participant record is created: a signed access token, the join time, and the last activity time. A name is only stored if the event requests it — depending on the setting, participation can be completely anonymous.
The submitted responses are stored: selected options, entered words, ratings with optional free-text comments, quiz answers, and questions and agreements posed in the question area. This data is associated with the pseudonymous participant record, not a person.
IP addresses are processed temporarily to limit abuse (limiting requests per address). They are not permanently stored with the responses and not linked to them.
For the live connection between the device and server, a WebSocket connection is established. For registered organizers, a session cookie is set, which is technically necessary for login. No tracking or advertising measurement takes place.
The responses of an event are visible to the organizer, in aggregated form also for the audience in the hall. Individual free-text responses and questions may appear on the projection screen. There is no transfer to third parties for advertising purposes and no sale of data.
There is no automatic deletion period. The data of an event remains stored until the organizer deletes it. Deleted events and sessions initially reside in a trash and can be restored; permanent deletion is a conscious, irreversible step and is reserved for administrators.
This statement is intentionally formulated without a deadline: a deadline that is not technically enforceable would be a false promise. Organizers can also specifically reset the results of a session, which irrevocably deletes all responses, questions, and participant records of that session.
The application is operated on the infrastructure of the responsible entity. Database, cache, and file storage run in the same network; no external evaluation services are integrated. Uploaded logos are served from the own domain, so that devices do not contact foreign servers.
You have the right to access the data stored about you as well as to correct or delete it. Since participation is pseudonymous, assignment without additional information from you is often not possible — please specify the event and time in a request. Contact the entity mentioned above for this.

All AI-supported functions can be completely turned off — platform-wide and per organization. When turned off, no data leaves the internal infrastructure.
